Carpet Cleaning

Carpet Cleaning:

In the carpet industry approximately 93% of the fibers of wall to wall carpet are man-made fibers such as nylon.

At Flynn's we clean natural fibers 90% of the time. We treat stubborn spots and stains by hand prior to and after cleaning. Proper care and maintenance can double the life of a carpet or fabric. Wools of New Zealand recommends cleaning a wool carpet professionally every year or two under normal residential use.

While regular vacuuming with a quality machine can remove much of the dry soil in your carpet, it is also necessary to clean your carpet on a regular basis. Carpet cleaning will remove the oily, sticky soil and chemicals that can build up in a carpet's pile, due to cooking vapors, air and smoke pollution, and tracked-in dirt from outside.

Particles of oily soil deposited on carpet fibers can cause a gradual but significant dulling of delicate pastel colors. Note that these colors are not lost, but rather, are hidden under a film of dirt. If allowed to accumulate, this type of soil begins to attract and hold the dry soil. For this reason, cleaning is important when dulling of the color is first noticed. If allowed to remain for extended periods, it can become gummy and very difficult to remove.

After the initial cleaning we recommend applying "fiber protection". Fiber protection will ensure future soiling will not permanently adhere to the fibers. Our carpet care technicians are specially trained to assure you the highest quality standards in the carpet cleaning industry. Our industrial equipment steam cleaning process effectively removes soil from the bottom of carpet fibers, where dirt filters and allergens settle. All of our technicians are honest, hard working professionals that are dedicated to providing you with the thorough service you have contracted.
